Alf Cozens
Southport, Merseyside

DRIVER INTERVIEW

Completed by Alf's Son - Neal.

How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
My Father's connection was due to being Wilf Blundell #75 Brother in Law, whom he also worked for.

What gave you the incentive to race
Spare car became available.

First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
His first car was a hand down from Wilf when my father raced #19. This car eventually went to Jack Ollerenshaw #26.

Memory of your first race.
My Father is no longer alive to give me the finer details - Sorry.

Best Racing Memory
He reached blue top prior to retiring, under the now banner of #76. He also had success at Belle Vue and Coventry with heat and consolation wins.

Worst Racing Memory
He received a blow to his head whilst racing at Tamworth

Reason for Retiring
He called it a day after he received that blow to his head whilst racing at Tamworth. Part of the car body work 4 inch angle iron broke on the rear of the car and was catapulted forward and caught the back of his head. Also with a young family and looking after Wilf's fleet and car preps in the evening I think enough was enough.

After Retiring - What Then?
He carried on looking after Wilf's now growing empire and also attended some meeting to assist the 75 car. He finally retired from Wilf's employment to own and manage a hotel in Eastbourne which he did until he retired, during this time his hobby turned to entertainment compere and caberet acts in the hotel and golf for the outside persuits.
