DRIVER INTERVIEW

How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
As a baby I was taken along to see my Cousin race (Alan Casserley 104,184 and 142) and as I grew up spent many weekends on the coach going to meetings with the family and mechanics. My first memories are as a baby outside Harringey Stadium and being pushed in my buggy around Brafield pits.

What gave you the incentive to race
As I got older I also saw Alan's brother Colin start racing (190 and 176) I always thought I'm going to do this someday. Well, now I have but it's taken a lot longer than I thought!

First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
I borrowed a Michael Scriven car. I can't thank Michael and his team enough for all their help and encouragement.

Memory of your first race.
Sitting in the pit lane adjusting my belts and crash helmet about 300 times lol! Michael and team sitting on the car giving me last minute advice. So proud to drive on to the track and take part in a race. Something I've wanted to do all my life. Lining up behind the superstars thinking "Am I dreaming?!" Got a good start, stayed with the reds (i.e. no whites lapped me straight away!) There was a red flag early on so I had to compose myself again for the re-start. Stayed out of trouble and got myself and the car back to the pits in one piece - absolutely elated!

Best Racing Memory
Somebody told me after my first race I'd finished 12th, scored a point and qualified for the final!

Worst Racing Memory
Gremlins in the car meant I couldn't go out in the Grand National. (not really my worst memory - they are all good!), I've only done one meeting 26/10/14 at Brafield as I write this in early 2015, but I've renewed my license and hope to race 2 or 3 times this season.
