DRIVER INTERVIEW

How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
Started working for Ian Durham 311 at 16

What gave you the incentive to race
I soon started travelling far and wide watching at most tracks in the country and meeting some great folks along the way, one of whom was Andy Webb 247 who I had the misfortune to work for about a year (joking) we had a great time and became good mates. The lure of racing was too much to bear.

First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
I shared the Ex Pete Falding car with Dave King for a season in 1990, after Ian had decided that forty bruises were enough.

Memory of your first race.
-

Best Racing Memory
I came in the best low grader to finish the final and won The Ernie Wright Trophy!

Worst Racing Memory
-

Reason for Retiring
I was sat on the grid waiting for the rolling lap when I spotted my two lads who were 9 and 10 at the time, I can remember thinking “Christ I might never see them again”

After Retiring - What Then?
Became a full time mechanic to Dave King #31. I have now built and just started racing in the Heritage F2 series, winning first time out at Hednesford.
