"Brafield" was purchased by John Le Trobe in 1955, this dirt oval was concreted in 1959 and tarmac'd over a few years later.
Tom Bissett bought the stadium in 1989, but then sold it to John Heynes in 1996.
NIR has held the European Championship over many years, held the first "Speed Weekend" in 1980 and has hosted its first World Final in 2005.
Second longest running stadium to Coventry.
